Born, raised and educated in Switzerland, I started out as a vegetable sales person in my family’s delicatessen business. While studying history, film and communications at the University of Zurich, I worked as a reporter for various Swiss magazines and newspapers. Along with Frank Braun, Suzanne Buchan and Otto Alder, I co-founded Fantoche, the international animation film festival in 1995. The same year, I was one of the founding editors at Swiss news weekly Facts.
Through 2009, I was a foreign correspondent for various news organizations. My work ranges from investigative stories to long features and interviews with business executives, politicians, athletes and artists. My stories have been published in over 30 countries, and have been translated into more than a dozen languages. My client portfolio includes magazines in Switzerland and Germany as well as Playboy in Russia, the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong and La Repubblica in Italy. I also write for corporate publications.
Until July 2011, I was the editor-in-chief of the collection, a tablet only magazine.
Currently, I’m a editor-at-large at Ringier. I’m based in Zurich, Switzerland.
In 2008, I was nominated for the Georg von Holtzbrinck Preis für Wirtschaftspublizistik.
